but can anyone tell me, exactly or roughly how much of the bible jw's actually use.
I just looked up that verse, and I see why they use it.
I've never gone on their website (should I)? I wonder if they would have verses listed that were used in their meetings. However, now that I think about it, they can post one thing on the site and say another thing at the kingdom hall. Would they?

Go easy on me, please, as I am new to this board. I have a question, I know chances are this has been answered in one form or another. But can anyone tell me, exactly or roughly how much of the bible JW's actually use. I heard that they never actually make it through the bible, that they repeat many, many verses over and over again without really touching base on any particular book. My thought is that I think wts is too intune to try to prove their doctrines and idea of Jesus moon walking with Michael Jackson (Just kidding).. just being silly, just like all the ideas that JW's have about who Jesus really is.

well sometime ago when i was meeting at the kingdom hall i overheard someone whos been in the tower all his life say to someone " have you heard that the number of the annointed are going up and not down, people are saying they are of the annointed when they are not".well since, i have spoken to an elder about overhearing this and all i got back was " no this person wasnt questioning the watchtower, just pointing out a problem".so they know this is going on and they dont even question anything.its just so ridiculous for people who examine and scrutinze for study every word the wt puts out.
"if the watchtower is wrong you are to wait and let Jehovah correct it"
That may not be the exact quote, but it is close enough. Anyway, what the heck, if any other religion made a so called error they (WTS) would put out the so called error and claim the religion is satan as they do with everything else that does not agree to their false teachings.

I'd never get baptized under JW's. I am totally aware of their way to control people.
I'm already baptized, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirt, not under an organization with no confusion or misunderstanding who I am submitting to :-)
i need a good color scan of the latest blood card, front and back.
any ideas on how to get an actual card if i'm not a jw.
i'm looking to make a tract that is about the same size, that if left on the ground or the floor, that a jw might pickup and look at.

Hey, I read somewhere (I haven't read around this site much so I don't know if it was here or on a website somewhere), but does anyone have the questions that is asked of jw's just as they are ready to be baptised? I printed it out at the time I found it, but now I don't know what happened to it. I do recall that you are pretty much submitting to the organization rather than God. I also remember reading something that before 1975 you actually were submitting to God. Can someone please clearify that?

I would hate to be a child in the hands of a family who refuses blood. I still don't understand all the refusal of blood. I mean look at it this way, if you are going to die, would you rather be given blood and live a day or two or even years or deny blood and not live at all. People do far worse things then receive blood. My thought is if God did not want us to use blood to live he would have stated so in the commandments and made it very clear to do so.
Here's a little story, I had a friend who lost his child, they just turned 18 years old. Her parents donated her organs and her loss saved 5 other people! Her blood was also used on one of the people who needed the transplant.
I also know that If I am in need of blood, I am going to take it. I'm not going to sit there and let myself die. Id rather contract an illness that can be likely taken care of with modern medicine then just let myself go.
Those cards that JW are forced to carry at all times is stupid, that's putting their life in someone elses hands and they do not have a say what so ever. That is almost like a binding contract.
I wouldn't want that.
